In a recent interview, during the launch event for her new Fenty x Puma collection, Rihanna shared one of her biggest wishes: to collaborate with Billie Eilish. The 35-year-old superstar confessed to the young 11-year-old journalist that, if she could, she would love to do a song with the talented singer. "She's so good," Rihanna expressed.
Rihanna's desire to collaborate with Eilish adds to a growing clamor among fans for new music. The singer of hits like “Love on the Brain” hasn't released an album since 2016, when her record Anti spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The project included three top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including the No. 1 hit “Work,” a collaboration with Drake.
Most recently, Rihanna released the track “Lift Me Up,” part of the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, just before headlining the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show.
As for her highly anticipated ninth studio album, Rihanna revealed that she has decided to “start over” after her musical hiatus, but without neglecting the material she has already created. “I’m ready to get back in the studio” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I want to listen to what I’ve done with fresh ears, with my fresh perspective, and see what’s still relevant and what I’m still in love with.”
