Birthplace of the Fest
BEONIX was created in 2022 in Cyprus. Why Cyprus? First, the creators of the festival settled there. Second, can you think of a better place for a music fest?
Landing in Cyprus, you get to a paradise island in the middle of the sea with incredible nature, year-round sunshine, a friendly atmosphere, and fantastic cuisine.
On top of that, it’s a place of attraction for hundreds of thousands of tourists during the season.
And for all that, there was no real big thing of a festival on the island. The situation called for action.
Founding Fathers
Beonix wouldn’t be what it is without its creators. And they knew exactly what it took to make the festival a success.
The founding fathers are true adepts of electronic music, who are savvy on the latest trends and the leading artists of the genre.
Being regulars of the top electronic music events in Europe, the Beonix founders absorbed the best and created their unique festival with great passion and insight.
Behind the Scenes
The first 2022 edition took an extremely short time to organize. The team went from conception to implementation in less than six months, which is mind-boggling for such caliber.
There were no doubts about the venue. The sea beach near Larnaca was the perfect place for a huge techno party.
The timing was also ideal: 2 weekends, Friday through Sunday. And when else can you have fun?
First Lineup Artists
Lineup BEONIX DJs were a real treat for the electronic scene fans. Over 50 global A-listers thrilled the audience with their live sets.
On those memorable weekends, people blew up the dance floor on the Larnaca beach to the music of Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, Deborah De Luca, Boris Brejcha, Paul Kalkbrenner, WhoMadeWho, and many others.
The attendees’ hearts pounded to the beat of house, techno, deep house, trance, dubstep, and other styles.
The music festival brought together both world-class performers and local EDM stars.
Beonix Makes History
The event has become the first major international festival held in Cyprus. The island has never witnessed a performance of this size before.
Beonix was an outstanding happening not only for Cyprus but also for the entire world of electronic music. As proof, it made the Top 100 Festivals 2022 list according to DJ Mag — the number one EDM authority.
Delight and rapture. That was, in brief, the reaction of visitors among locals and tourists alike. There is plenty of video evidence of this, and here is one of them.
Apart from the exceptional musical component, Beonix 2022 evolved into a modern art masterpiece thanks to the stunning decorations and light show.
More Fun to Come
Beonix was a living picture of music and freedom. Everyone who was there wished it would never end.
And here it comes again! The festival returns in 2023 in a bit different wrapper. Now in Limassol — the heart of business Cyprus and the seaport with convenient transportation links.
This year, the celebration will last 3 days but with even more DJs working their magic on 3 stages.
The 2023 edition promises to reach a new level of entertainment, surpassing the last year’s fest and gaining more followers.
