Three and a half years have passed since the Albanian singer Lipa delighted her audience with 'Future Nostalgia', an album full of samples and characteristic beats from the 80s and 90s, with which she managed to position herself as one of the most successful artists of the decade.
Now, after a successful tour, awards, work and collaborations, Dua Lipa returns with 'Houdini', a single that was produced with the iconic singer Kevin Parker, from the Australian band Tame Impala.
This new single, named after the famous illusionist Harry Houdini, is not something new for the artist, whose previous album was inspired by the 80s and had a pop dance sound that manifested itself in every song.
This song, which marks the beginning of her third musical era, comes with a lot of expectation from her fans, especially because of the clues that the singer gave on her social networks in recent months.
For example, she shared a series of images from the Houdini recording sessions. There were Kevin, from Tame Impala, as well as Danny Harle and Caroline Ailin.
Likewise, the fact that she had deleted all his photos and changed his profile photo on Instagram also hinted that a big production was coming. This can be seen precisely with this single, which, just four hours after being published, already had more than a million views on YouTube.
The release date or title of Dua Lipa's third album is not yet known. All we know is that the album will be released in 2024 and will be one of the most anticipated works of the coming year.
