The Chemical Brothers will headline Open'er next summer, returning to a festival whose first edition they helped launch. Ellie Goulding, 5 Seconds of Summer, ADÉLA and underscores are also among the latest additions. The expanding bill brings electronic music, pop and guitar bands to the four-day event in Gdynia, Poland.

A Thursday headline slot, with pop spread across the weekend
Open'er's official announcement places the Chemical Brothers at the close of the Orange Main Stage on Thursday. The festival runs from June 30 to July 3, 2027, at Gdynia-Kosakowo Airport. These are future bookings, not performances that have already happened.
The current artist schedule gives a useful starting point for anyone deciding which day to attend. It assigns the newly added acts as follows:
- Thursday, July 1: the Chemical Brothers and 5 Seconds of Summer.
- Friday, July 2: ADÉLA.
- Saturday, July 3: Ellie Goulding and underscores.
RAYE is also listed for Saturday. Her festival booking offers a different setting from the one-night orchestral Royal Albert Hall show we recently covered. The two appearances should not be assumed to share a set list or arrangement.
Day allocations are not full running orders. They help narrow a ticket choice, but do not yet establish exact stage times or whether two favorite acts will overlap. Our guide to finding event tickets covers the purchase side; the organizer's own timetable is still the place to check the performance plan.
The anniversary connects two very different festivals
The Chemical Brothers' booking has a specific place in Open'er's history. According to the festival's archive, they played its first, single-day edition in 2002, also their first Polish appearance. That early event was much smaller than the airfield festival audiences know now.
Open'er moved to the airport site in 2006 and expanded to four days in 2009. The coming appearance lands 25 years after the inaugural edition, linking the original event to its later format. It is an anniversary return, not a claim that the duo have been absent for that entire period.
There is a more recent wrinkle, too: the archive records the cancellation of their planned 2022 performance because of COVID, with Peggy Gou replacing them. That makes the new booking more than a nostalgic name on a poster. For fans planning the next Open'er Festival, the confirmed Thursday slot is the practical detail to keep, while further lineup and timetable updates are still ahead.
